A little bit about me

Flower arrangement, Vintage wedding, Styled by Amber

My name is Amber and for as far back as I can remember I have been fascinated by pretty little details and this strict (those closest to me might say obsession!) attention to detail is something I rely on for my work almost entirely. I’ve always been a creative person as it’s something that makes me the happiest but what drives me more is creating something beautiful for someone else and seeing happiness in their faces.

Having worked as an interior designer for over ten years, I branched off into wedding styling after styling my own wedding a few years ago. I’ve always had a love for weddings – the love story, the beauty, the details. I loved every minute of planning and designing my own wedding and have happily been doing it ever since.

Traveling is one of my all-time favourite passions and has inspired me hugely over the years. Florence is among my most favourite places in the world.

I have a particular affection for timeworn, vintage and antique pieces – anything from flaky painted furniture to an antique gold-plated compact found at a flea market.  I love anything that tells a story, that has patina, texture and above all character. I am drawn to muted palettes and earthy textures and would describe my own design aesthetic as eclectic, romantic and rustic.

A few of my favourite things in this world are…..pale pink fluffy peonies, bohemian-inspired ceramics and textiles, beautiful stationery (or as I used to call them ‘fancy pages’ when I was a little girl!), vintage hat boxes, French style cafes, bookshops, Laduree macarons and wandering around a flea market would be my idea of the perfect afternoon!
